Perineal Warm & Cold Pads: These pads are highly absorbent so they don't need to be changed as often. The result-less bother for the patient, less labor for the nurse. Cold pads are applied intermittently for 36-48 hours after delivery. Warm pads are applied for 3-4 days after perineal cold therapy.
